Part 1 - The TEST

How do YOU Define GENIUS???

Academic sources explain the meaning of GENIUS as

1. an exceptional natural capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative and original
work in science, art, music

2.	a person having such capacity.

3.	a person having an extraordinarily high intelligence rating on a psychological test, as an IQ above 140.

4.	natural ability or capacity; strong inclination: a special genius for leadership.

5.	distinctive character or spirit, as of a nation, period, or language.

6.	the guardian spirit of a place, institution, etc.

7.	either of two mutually opposed spirits, one good and the other evil, supposed to attend a person throughout life.

8.	a person who strongly influences for good or ill the character, conduct, or destiny of a person, place, or thing.

Notice that certain words are repeatedly used and stressed to describe GENIUS...

natural ability; capacity
creative; original; distinctive
character; conduct
spirit; destiny
guardian
intellect; intelligence
exceptional; extraordinary
good OR ill; evil

Do certain names come to mind when you think of particular examples of this?

1. Whose name is at the TOP of your GENIUS List?
2. Does this person look like YOU?


A quick Google Image search of GENIUS will give you names like Einstein and Darwin and, interestingly enough, a lot of hi-tech gadgets and sneakers (of all things). Growing up in Western culture gives you plenty of examples of "genius" that look nothing like the actual definition, or even anyone you know.


First, we must be able to Know G.E.N.I.U.S. -
To do the Knowledge we must Look, Listen & Observe what is going on within as well as with the world around us. Imagery is important because of the meaning it conveys to your mind.

G.E.N.I.U.S. Test #2 - When you see images that look like you and they convey either truthful, balanced, and empowering OR negative, inaccurate, and harmful messages, how does that affect how you see yourself?


Western culture puts most of their emphasis on the least scientific method for discovering and nurturing GENIUS ... i.e. their psychological "tests" such as the IQ Test, among others like all of the public school system related tests & assessments as well as the aptitude and entrance exams to be accepted into most secondary/professional degree programs.

I say this is the least scientific method for discovering genius because of the extremely limited ability of a traditional test to know and assess the infinite manifestations of genius itself. A traditional test shows how well you can pass a test, not necessarily how much you know and don't know and what you are able to do with that knowledge.


Everyone has their own experiences about taking traditional tests, whether it is to pass a class, a grade level, earn a diploma or degree (better known as your "receipt".....we'll get back to that later) or to gain acceptance into a program or school, or even to get a J.O.B. or advance a career


Think about your own experiences with "traditional test taking" in your life...



G.E.N.I.U.S. Test #3 -
1. How did you generally feel before you took traditional tests?
2. How did you feel if you did well on the test?
3. How did you feel if you did poorly on the test?
4. How did you feel if you earned the highest score possible on the test?
5. How did you generally prepare to take tests?
*** Extra Credit: Did you ever feel that you were "smarter" or even less "smart" because of test results or "score"?

All traditional tests are designed to test for specific answers. Either you got it or you don't, you're "right" or "wrong".

My point is that True G.E.N.I.U.S. exceeds the limitations of most, if not, all of these types of tests. Let's get back to those words used in the definitions:

natural ability; capacity
creative; original; distinctive
character; conduct
spirit; destiny
guardian
intellect; intelligence
exceptional; extraordinary
good OR ill; evil

What stands out are the Intangible Elements of the True Nature of a G.E.N.I.U.S. - they cannot be physically touched or measured, yet the meaning of each word is understood.

So - What is, Who is G.E.N.I.U.S.?

In my own words, G.E.N.I.U.S. is
God's Energy Natural Intelligence Unique Soul

When we are born into this Life, we all have the natural ability and capacity to
develop the G.E.N.I.U.S. within.
Just like any other knowledge or ability, the TRUE test is HOW you actually use it!

HOMEWORK:

1. Write YOUR Own Name at the TOP of your G.E.N.I.U.S. List.
2. Next to your name write 3 or more Natural Abilities that you have and circle the one Ability that you want to develop the most in your Life
3. Write about what makes YOU Unique and Distinctive.
4. Find 5 or more G.E.N.I.U.S. people from any point in time that reflect your OWN Image and add them to your List

I am experiencing a beautiful turn on this road, and before I rest for the night, I am compelled to share with you Dynamic Kings & Queens

I recently completed my 10-day trial of Compass Coaching and began as a client. At the same time, today I entered the iPEC Life Potential Training & Empowerment Coaching Certification Program. At the same time (again lol) I just completed my first 2 weeks of employment after 8 months of being laid off, at home with my 3yr old daughter (an extra blessing!!), and engaging in some pretty intense Personal Development & DreamBuilding.

(I just took a big breath after writing that and realized that this writing is beneficial and quite healing...lol...it's good to be aware of your high vibrations...lol)

Well, it was quite a day, indeed here in beautiful Tampa Bay. Even from the beginning of the day, I knew there was something special in store for me today. The sunrise, ocean view and my personal riding-out inspiration - my Music! (Jill Scott today) were so in sync with my energy, peace of mind, and intentions.

I spent the day learning and training to become a Professional Empowerment Coach with a diverse group of people, all there on one accord mentally, seeking their best self and taking action to attain it.

I even had the blessing of meeting Queen British Ford-Hill's husband & King Shelby as our co-trainer for today. I have been in communication with the Queen herself on several different ways & occasions, and it was especially wonderful to hear his point of view on his wife's amazing attributes and accomplishments. (Shout Out to Black Love! lol)

To add to all this sunshine, a sister friend in my community - who is gracious enough to care for my little one while I am is working, and has really been a light to me since I moved to Florida 5 years ago - and I were messaging each other from the time I left her house this morning until I pulled up in her yard tonight after training 45 minutes away, over the bridge. We were encouraging and empowering each other all day, (which we do spontaneously on a daily basis) and much of what we were building about, was touched on in some way by what was going on in the group training.

I would say that I am full and happy after a mental feast like the one I am enjoying! LOL
